SOME NEW INFORMATION:

Please help our students become responsible reporters.  If problems occur on the bus, students should always tell the bus driver as soon as possible.  Many times the bus driver can "fix" the situation before it ever makes it to the principal's office.  If the problem is still happening after that, talking to the teacher or someone in the office should be the next step.

USED BASEBALL EQUIPMENT COLLECTION:    While attending this summer's Little League World Series in Williamsport, LJM fifth grader, Samuel Koons, and second grader, Benton Koons, met the first team to ever represent Africa.  This Ugandan team made a great impression on the Koons family.  Although the Ugandans live daily with tremendous hardships, they were able to experience an incredible journey thanks to baseball.
In their honor, the Koons family has joined with the organization Pitch in for Baseball to collect lightly used baseball equipment to send to Africa.
A collection box will be located in the LJM lobby through October 5 for LJM families who wish to donate baseball gloves, cleats, equipment bags, helmets, catching gear, new baseballs and softballs, and any other baseball equipment. (For safety purposes, please do not send bats to school on the bus!)
Thank you in advance for helping to spread the joy of baseball to needy children across the world!

JUST FOR FUN:

Try this "Magic Reckoning" activity:  Take your house number and double it.  Add five.  Multiply by half a hundred, then add your age (if you are under 100).  Add the number of days in a year, and subtract 615.  The last two figures will be your age; the others will be your house number!
